DESCRIPTION:Uitnodiging om deel te nemen aan the Work That Reconnects. Begeleiding door Manon Danker i.s.m. Lida Hospers. \nVoor de vierde keer bieden wij deze workshop aan in de regio Leiden voor iedereen die inspiratie en kracht zoekt om liefde voor de aarde vorm te geven in het werk en het dagelijks leven. \nWorkshop bijdrage is 155 euro\, dit is inclusief maaltijden (vegan en vegetarisch)\, zonder overnachtingen. Deelname is voor de hele workshop. Meer info https://elemental-journey.com/ \nDe aarde is een grote bron van kracht. Hoe houd je verbinding met het wonder van het leven terwijl het zo bedreigd wordt? De kans is reëel dat we overweldigd worden door de uitputting van de aarde. Deze uitputting wordt voornamelijk veroorzaakt door ons mensen. De balans is zoek geraakt\, velen van ons ervaren verdriet. Hoe omarmen we ons menszijn en maken we verbinding met onze gevoelens\, in plaats van ons af te sluiten omdat we ons zo denken te kunnen beschermen? Hoe blijf je present voor wat er nodig is om de relatie tussen mens en aarde te herstellen\, te vieren\, weer gezond te maken? \nJoanna Macy zegt: “Wanneer we onze pijn om de wereld ontkennen of onderdrukken dan ondermijnen we ook onze kracht om bij te dragen aan de heling ervan.” \nAls we met heldere blik en open hart onderzoeken wat onze gevoelens en gedachten zijn voor de uitdagingen op aarde\, ook de pijn en het verdriet\, dan ontstaat er ruimte. Hierin vinden we grondstof voor verzachting en creativiteit. We blijven juist vitaal in de dynamiek van de verbinding\, voorkomen dat we verzanden in doemdenken. Door het weer ervaren van onze verbondenheid met elkaar en het grotere geheel\, groeit in ons de kracht om bij te dragen aan de wereld die wij naar verlangen\, op onze eigen unieke manier. How do they (re)connect you to the sacred? \n// The deeper I’m diving into this question of how to live a life well lived and contribute to a positive change in society\, the more I realise that there is so much within this thing called ‘everyday life’. I cannot separate the work I’m doing ‘out there in the world’ with what is inside my fridge\, the clutter (or none) on my desk or how fit and rested my body feels. It is all connected. And if I want to show up as courageously as I can and make the biggest possible impact\, personal practices are essential. \n// In this 5th Spiritual Ecology Community of Practice we’ll dive into this topic of Personal Practice\, because I think it is an important one. I will share a bit about my story with personal practice. We will of course practice – meditation\, writing\, walking as a way of reconnecting with nature – and will look at what potentially blocks you from picking up a practice. \n“Slow down and enjoy life. Tea and cookies will be ready 🙂\nCost: The evening is donation based (suggested donations 5 – 30 euro).\nMaximum 20 participants.\nWith a big thank you to de Ceuvel for offering their space. \n***BACKGROUND***\nWhat is Spiritual Ecology? \nFor me\, Spiritual Ecology is about living in a peaceful\, kind relationship with yourself\, others\, and the Earth. As such\, it can mean a radical shift from the status quo. A shift that requires great bravery. \nWe have developed a highly dysfunctional society that is based on continuous economic growth at the expense of the Earth and its many life forms\, including human lives. This system is more oppressive for some than for others\, and ultimately harms everyone. From how I have been introduced in this work\, Spiritual Ecology brings together environmental injustice with social injustice. In the words of Martin Luther King: \n“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality\, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly\, affects all indirectly.” \nTo shift to a regenerative society\, I think we need to \n• work with ourselves and our own awareness\n• build relationships with others (perhaps even outside of ‘your bubble’) and\n• reconnect with Earth and find ways to be in service to life \nThis Community of Practice is a place to practice and learn together. To grow our ‘muscles’ of resilience\, compassion and warriorship. \n*** This Community of Practice ***\nIt is my aim to create a space that welcomes all identities\, recognises that everyone is on spectrums of privilege and oppression and to hold space for people to express what it’s like to have these experiences. I would like it to be a space where we can hold difficult conversations\, allow all emotions to be present\, and support our own and each others’ learning process. DESCRIPTION:We bevinden ons in tijden van individualisme en consumentisme\, waarmee we niet alleen onszelf\, maar vooral ook onze leefomgeving uitputten. We zien de grote consequenties zoals klimaatverandering\, the 6de massa extinctie\, racisme\, burn-outs en een scheiding tussen natuur en onszelf. \nNaast de noodzaak voor praktische veranderingen die we moeten toepassen om de gevaren van klimaatverandering en achteruitgang van de biodiversiteit te minimaliseren\, moeten we ook tijd en ruimte investeren in een belangrijke oorzaak van de huidige problemen: (het gebrek aan) relatie. De relatie die we met onszelf hebben\, met de mens en met onze leefomgeving. Relatie tot ziel. \nEen relatie hebben betekent dat je een interactie hebt. Deze interactie wordt gevormd door de manier van delen en luisteren. In de westerse cultuur zijn we gewend vooral op een rationeel niveau te communiceren\, met doorgaans meer spreken dan luisteren. Wij geloven dat we ons ook andere manieren van communiceren (weer) moeten aanleren. Manieren waarbij we bijvoorbeeld communiceren met de plek waar wij wonen\, met onze ziel (van individueel tot collectief)\, met natuur. Als we goede relaties zouden hebben – een zorgvuldig afstemmingsproces met onszelf\, de ander en natuur – dan zouden we in balans samen kunnen leven met al dat leeft. \nHet belang van ‘goede relaties’  \nMakkelijker gezegd dan gedaan. Want wat maakt een relatie goed? Als je al eens een lastige relatie hebt ervaren – met collega’s\, een geliefde\, ongewenste planten in de tuin of een mug in je slaapkamer – weet je dat goede relaties niet vanzelfsprekend zijn. Het vraagt onder andere een diep kennen van jezelf\, fijngevoelige afstemming met de ander\, de capaciteit om los te kunnen laten\, en om samen te creëren. \n9 november: werken aan jouw relationele capaciteiten \nOnder leiding van een aantal vrouwen wiens (professionele) roeping draait om het zorgdragen voor het leven op Aarde en het herstellen van relaties – werk je op 9 november aan jouw relationele capaciteiten. De centrale vraag is: hoe sta ik in relatie en hoe kan ik dit verbeteren? Verlang je er bijvoorbeeld naar om eindelijk eens werkelijk contact te maken met de plek waar je woont? Met je moeder? De zee? Of met toekomstige generaties? Ben je nieuwsgierig naar contact met ziel? Met de boom of slakken in je tuin? Of wil je het contact met je gevoelens aandacht geven? \nDe dag is zo vormgegeven dat jij ook je eigen vragen kunt onderzoeken. DESCRIPTION:Truly meeting oneself and one’s human family is a healing and moving experience. Especially when we come together in our concern and hope for this precious Earth\, our home. In the fabric of the web of life we find the threads that bring us home. Here we transcend time and form\, meet our ancestors and future generations\, become inspired and widen our vision. \nThe Work That Reconnects is a powerful group method developed by Joanna Macy – eco-philosopher and peace activist -that helps us to reconnect with the wonder of life\, fully embracing the threats we embark upon. It helps you to reconnect and deepen your gifts and longings\, your commitment to and vigor for life itself. \nThe Workshop starts Friday the 27th\, 5:30PM with a shared meal followed by an evening program\, and finishes Sunday the 29th at 4:30PM. It is a full program in which we will go through the spiral of the Work That Reconnects. This spiral offers us a solid and profound framework to explore our deep belonging and care for the world. We start with gratitude and feel the nourishment of this ancient practice of giving thanks. We create a safe space so we can be really present for all the feelings that live inside us and open for our pain for the world. Witnessing and supporting each other in this often lonely place is liberating\, empowering. When we see with new eyes we tap into the wisdom of many traditions and strengthen our awareness beyond our species and our experience of time. Here we breathe deep time and deep ecology. In the fourth step of the spiral we harvest our gifts and let our deep longing speak to fuel us\, to be present for the changes we want to see in our daily lives\, the world\, in honor of all beings. Manon is a sociologist and environmentalist with emphasis on deep ecology. Working in nature reserves in Peru and Indonesia\, she experienced the challenges between humanity and nature closely. She also saw the toll it took for environmentalists to work under such dire conditions. In looking for wisdom to work with the overwhelming stories of our time\, she trained with Joanna Macy. For her this work is a powerful tool to help her stay present for the wonder of life and humankind. We really liked her warm and peacefull way of leading the workshop and were touched by her voice. For more information about her look at www.elemental-journey.com \nWe will stay at the Bronhoeve a beautiful centre (30 minutes East of Utrecht) on the country side\, with fruittrees\, a little forest and wide grass lands. It has a beautiful workshop room. You can stay in a 2p\, 4p or 6p bedroom. Vegan food will be served. \nWe try to make the course as accessible as possible. There are two possible investment fees: €225 and €295\,-. The € 225\,- fee is for students and people with a lower income and the € 295\,- fee is for people with a moderate and higher income. Please be considerate of this when you apply\, because we can only offer a limited number of places for the lower investment\, otherwise we cannot cover all costs. Course fee\, all meals (vegan) and accommodation are included. \nThere is place for a maximum of 12 people (and a minimum of 8).
